New York–based duo Frost Children are the hyperpop wunderkinds keeping the scene alive. Their latest single "FLATLINE" follows their 2022 album SPIRAL, making it their first new music of the new year (it also happens to be their first release via True Panther). Don't be deceived by the gentle vocal delivery here. “FLATLINE” is a hodgepodge of racing alien drums, police sirens, short-circuiting buzzes, and possibly even a Crazy Frog sample? Dare I say, it's giving me Bodyrox vibes, which is fantastic.

The single builds to an aggravated climax: "Cut the shit / Are you fucking with me? Step away / I can feel your disease," they scream at one point. Now, they're live in a club and lost in the neon lights? Love's delirious grip has loosened. Run it back and do it all over again. In a statement about the song, they didn't give much away: “Flatline, my love is blind. But seriously are you effing with me?” They said what they needed to say.

"FLATLINE" comes with a music video directed by POWERED BY WIND. Watch the colorful and dizzying visual below.
