Noise-rock vets Lightning Bolt are currently supporting their new album Fantasy Empire, and for those of us who like to have some visual intensity to go along with the musical kind, they’ve just shared the video for “The Metal East.”
Adult Swim had the liberty of premiering the full-on experience, and in watching it, it’s easy to see why they were keen on taking the helm. Animated by Lale Westvind, the face-melting, shape-shifting trip is kind of like if the worlds of Superjail! and Heavy Metal merged, and then went to a DIY show.
