“’That chord organ—that zither is not happening, man. But, for whatever reason, that tabla is working!’”

Night Terrors of 1927 consists of singer guitar-player duo Blake Sennett from Los Angeles-based rock groups Rilo Kiley and The Elected, and Jarrod Gorbel of Brooklyn alternative collaboration The Honorary Title. Together, they create epic, majestic sounds and play off each other’s inimitable talents.

In an exclusive episode of At: Guitar Center, the two explain how they put together their debut record Everything’s Coming Up Roses and found common ground between Gorbel’s brooding air and Sennett’s playful demeanor. Bringing soulful guitar riffs and crooning lyrics to the stage, check out Night Terrors of 1927’s interview, plus an intimate performance of “When You Were Mine” below.
