I've said it before and I'll say it again: Yves Tumor is the only rockstar/live band you should care about right now. Their new album Praise a Lord Who Chews but Which Does Not Consume is out March 17 via Warp Records, and they've already shared the singles "God Is a Circle" and "Echolalia." Today, they return with a third track, "Heaven Surrounds Us Like a Hood," along with a video by longtime collaborator Cody Critcheloe.
"Heaven Surrounds Us Like a Hood" is an elixir of blistering guitars, thundering drums, sentimental voice notes, and thorny yet angelic vocals. Tumor doesn't stop there; the visuals are equally as enthralling: a giant glittered apple core, a violently neon room, a lit cigarette being flicked mid-song, debaucherous performance, kids dancing joyously, and lots of strobe lights.
