In case you weren’t sure where the former Girls frontman Christopher Owens would go after the release of last year’s Lysandre, it seems like he’s been able to find new musical inspirations everywhere. Owens’s following up his debut solo album with A New Testament, and has already released a few promising numbers including the honky-tonk track “Nothing More Than Everything To Me,” which now has a cute, heartwarming video to go with it.
The video (directed by actor Max Minghella, who you might recognize from The Social Network) takes place at a middle school dance—following the precious story of a young couple’s blossoming crush. Owens plays on a glittery stage, belting out his soulful woos with the playful energy of rollicking track for the room of preteens.
A New Testament will be released on September 30 via Turnstile Records.
