A (presumably) rat-free version of the iconic Washington DC venue 9:30 Club is opening next to the original site this spring. The new venue has been dubbed The Atlantis, which was the initial name of the famed venue. That new venue is opening on May 30, and to celebrate the site's 44th anniversary, the first 44 shows will all cost $44. But that's not all—those 44 nights are stacked with a wide variety of top-tier artists including Foo Fighters, Pixies, Ben Gibbard, The Walkmen, Yo La Tengo, Parliament Funkadelic, Iron & Wine, Tegan and Sara, Hot Chip, and Tove Lo.
Other acts include Sylvan Esso, X, Jeff Tweedy, Darius Rucker, Modern English, Portugal. The Man, Jenny Lewis, Bartees Strange, Billy Idol, Maggie Rogers, Joan Jett, Gogol Bordello, Franz Ferdinand, The Magnetic Fields, Luna, Hannibal Burress, and Third Eye Blind.
