Today, Petite Noir shared another single from his forthcoming album MotherFather: The darkness is comforting sometimes, which arrives April 14 via Roya. "Play" was produced by TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek at his Glendale Hills Studio. “It’s a song about a playful romance," Petite Noir said. "Going through the ups and downs of love in the fast lane.”
In reference to the album as a whole, Noir continued: “It’s about going through the darkness. But it’s also about rebirth. Because the dark times are needed for us to grow.” The reconciliation is clear on "Play," as Noir sings on the first verse: "I just need another way to take care of this demon."
