While BLACKPINK claimed a headlining slot, they weren't the only South Korean artists making a splash at Coachella 2023. After making his stateside debut at SXSW in March, alt-rock/pop-punk star LØREN (real name Lee Seung-joo) was a last-minute addition to this year's lineup, performing on the Sahara stage on Sunday.
While US audiences are just getting introduced to him, LØREN has amassed quite a name for himself internationally as both a songwriter for BLACKPINK (and video co-star) and through a string of singles he's released which have garnered him millions of YouTube streams and a deal with 88rising and The Black Label. His Coachella set showcased his flair for punk and grunge as heard on his just-released EP, Put Up a Fight, reminding the festival faithful it's not only K-pop coming out of the South Korean music scene.
We asked LØREN to document his Coachella weekend one experience through a series of intimate photos captured backstage on the festival grounds with his band. Check out the pics and his captions below.
