Good remixes are hard to come by—but like encountering a life-changing pastry, it's always worth the search. Today, Divino Niño has gifted us with something delicious for the ears. They've released a remix of the Slow Pulp classic "Falling Apart." Two great Chicago-based groups coming together in genre-mashed harmony.
Divino Niño's take is completely unexpected: gel-pen synths coupled with a sleek build up and wormy manipulation of Emily Massey's vocals. It also features a verse from Divino Niño’s Camilo Medina, transforming the track into a luminescent bilingual dance floor essential. "Tirado en el suelo, vista al cielo, desganado sin tu amor," he sings during the first verse. "Esta pena es mi condena, desinflando todo el corazón / Como una estrella en una esfera que trasciende el calor / Restregándote la noche entera." Quite the romantic.
But that's not all—right when you think it's over, the remix morphs via a tiny breakdown that recalls the work of SOPHIE into a sadboi trap anthem. Rave on!
