Back in 2013, New York rockers The Walkmen made good on a cancelled show in Philadelphia in epic fashion, offering fans with ticket stubs for the previous set a "pre-show spaghetti dinner and cheap canned beer." Those fans not only enjoyed that spaghetti meal, but also an impromptu performance from the band, who covered songs by Bob Seger, Violent Femmes, and The Rolling Stones, among others.
Later that year, The Walkmen would go on an indefinite hiatus, only to return to that same Union Transfer venue—along with frenetic openers Liily—for their first shows in Philadelphia in a decade for an enthusiastic crowd.
