Today is Monday, April 20, 2015. It’s a day that might be remembered for its copious amounts of pot consumption, or it might not be because of, well, that same said amount of pot consumption. Thanks to everyone’s favorite ice cream duo Ben & Jerry, this date will also go down in history as the day that the BRRR-ito came into being.
What is a BRRR-ito? It’s a glorious taste-sensation that brings the food delivery methods of delicious Mexican food to the satisfyingly sweet world of ice cream. Imagine two scoops of your favorite Ben & Jerry’s ice cream topped with cookie crumbs and a “fudge drizzle” all rolled up within a warm waffle cone. It looks like a burrito or a wrap, but it tastes just like B&J heaven.
Now, if ice cream burritos isn’t your thing (what kind of monster are you?), Ben & Jerry’s is also teaming up with New Belgium for a brand-new beer that sounds just as glorious. The collaborative brew, mouth-wateringly titled Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale, will be available starting this fall, and will benefit Protect Our Winters—a climate change awareness organization.
