Queens of the Stone Age return! The group announced a new album today titled In Times New Roman... with the single "Emotion Sickness." The record—their first since 2017's Villains—is out June 16 via Matador Records, and it was recorded and mixed at frontman Josh Homme’s own Pink Duck studio, with additional work done at Shangri-La.
The simple but punchy rock single nods to modern day's routine disposability and waste—both in material goods and social situations. "Use once then destroy / Single servings of pain / A dose of emotion sickness / I just can’t shake," Homme asserts on the opening verse. "Oh atrocious! ferocious! Check the price / Alibi bye buy by the slice / Absolutely!" he later quips. Dark stuff, my friend.
