Today, Jorja Smith announced her follow-up to 2021's Be Right Back: her next album Falling or Flying will be out September 29 via FAMM. “I don't slow down enough,” Smith shared regarding the new project. “This album is like my brain. There’s always so much going on but each song is definitely a standstill moment.”
The album began to come together during studio sessions with producer duo DAMEDAME* in her hometown of Walsall in the UK. She added that the new LP “touches on breakups, relationships with my friends, relationships with old friends, relationships with myself. It's definitely about a lot of relationships, but every song I write I can sing it to myself.”
