Blur are back, baby! Today, the Britpop VIPs announced that their new album The Ballad of Darren is out July 21 via Parlophone. The record is the follow-up to 2015's The Magic Whip, and arrives in the wake of recent news that the group would reassemble for a show this summer in London (which gave way to a slate of "warm up shows" kicking off tomorrow). Today the band also also shared a new song called "The Narcissist," which made its US radio debut this morning on FLOOD FM.
“This is an aftershock record, reflection and comment on where we find ourselves now,” Damon Albarn shared of the new project. Added Dave Rowntree: “It always feels very natural to make music together. With every record we do, the process reveals something new and we develop as a band. We don’t take that for granted.”
