After a seven-year run as the lovably pathetic Tom Haverford on Parks and Recreation and a slew of comedy specials already behind him, it seems like Aziz Ansari is just getting started. With a nonfiction book on dating called Modern Romance due out this June (cover below), The A.V. Club now reports that the actor/comedian is currently shooting a brand-new sitcom for Netflix, which he created with Parks and Recreation producer Alan Yang.
Ansari will be joined on the series by Eric Wareheim (Tim and Eric), H. Jon Benjamin (Bob’s Burgers), Lena Waithe (Dear White People) and—wait for it—Claire Danes.
No word yet on a release date, title, or premise, but the cast and crew is a promising start. Here’s to hoping Ansari’s buddy Kanye makes an appearance.
