While she’s still celebrating the release of her third album The Fool, which arrived back in April, earlier this month Parisian synth-pop artist JAIN unexpectedly had a track from her 2015 debut record go viral after blowing up on TikTok and subsequently topping the global Shazam chart. It’s anyone’s guess whether (or when) any of the tracks on The Fool will achieve the same mysterious fate as “Makeba,” though it seems promising that much of the new album matches that track’s quirky dance-pop appeal.
In the meantime, JAIN took the time to record a new episode of FLOOD FM’s “Hacked,” in which she shared a handful of her favorite tunes.
