Revered post-hardcore five-piece Balance and Composure broke up after a final run of shows in 2019, but revealed back in April that they would be reuniting for a series of live dates along with releasing new music. The first night of that reunion kicked off in Philadelphia last Friday, with Union Transfer packed to the rafters with fans singing along to every song as the band tore through a set featuring beloved classics, deep cuts, and their new singles. They left assuring fans that this wasn’t a one-off set—they’re officially back.
