LA-based, Oakland-bred producer, songwriter, and vocalist Meernaa (a.k.a. Carly Bond) has announced her forthcoming album So Far So Good, due October 6 via Keeled Scales.
Coupled with the album’s announcement, Meernaa shared the stirring new single “As Many Birds Flying,” which arrives alongside epic visuals directed by Silvia Grav (American Horror Story, True Detective) of Bond and two counterparts dancing across the sandy desert.
Bond started out as a music lover before picking up the guitar and honing her chops in a high school jazz program. Eventually, she began writing her own songs. She began interning at legendary Tiny Telephone Recording in San Francisco in 2013, and eventually worked to afford one day of recording for herself, where she ended up working with her future bandmate and husband Rob Shelton.
