Tkay Maidza has returned with a new single called “Silent Assassin,” produced by fellow Australian Flume. On the track, the 4AD artist showcases her dexterous flow, witty one-liners, and sense of whimsy, spitting lines like, “This that wrist hit, rubber band clip, undefeated flow / Nauseating sick, yeah, you hating from the view / That’s too bad, suck on this / Hella fatal, you a fool tryna hack on this clip.”
“I like to move in silence, but this song is a reminder that people shouldn’t count me out or underestimate my abilities; they should be afraid when I'm quiet as I come back more evolved,” Tkay said. “I’ve always wanted to work with Flume and was immediately ecstatic when he played the instrumental for this; I wanted to channel Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott.”
