Courtney Barnett has announced the release of an instrumental album entitled End of the Day. The album is comprised of 17 improvisations that were originally created as part of the score to the 2021 documentary about Barnett titled Anonymous Club. As a preview of the album to come, Barnett has released the first three tracks.

“Start Somewhere,” “Life Balance,” and “First Slow” are all out now, alongside a visual accompaniment directed by filmmaker Claire Vogel. The album will be released via Mom+Pop Music worldwide and on Barnett's own Milk! Records in Australia. It will be the final release on Milk! ahead of the label closing up shop after almost a decade putting out music.
