The Smile—y'know, Tom Skinner's band with some guys from Radiohead—kicked off their current North American tour last month, and this past weekend they hit Philadelphia for one of the tour's most intimate venues: Franklin Music Hall. Naturally, it was packed, with fans camped out all day in the sweltering heat and humidity.
Thom Yorke was in a great mood despite the sauna-like temperatures in the Hall, as the band tore through most of their debut album A Light for Attracting Attention, a few new songs ("Teleharmonic," "Under Our Pillows," and "Read the Room"), and Yorke's solo track "Feeling Pulled Apart by Horses."
