Back in 2001, the cult-classic Super Troopers took the world by storm by teaching important lessons, like how to chug maple syrup properly, and as a lasting effect of its endless quotability, you still have that one friend who thinks it’s funny to ask for a liter of cola at a fast-food place. (OK, it is still pretty funny.)

Meow, fourteen years later, Broken Lizard—the comedic team also behind Beerfest…and others…—are set to return to the shenanigans that made their career following a successful crowdfunding campaign demanding the making of Super Troopers 2.

With a benchmark goal of $2 million, the crew clobbered that number, making it up to $4.45 million and counting (currently that makes them the second-most successful crowdfunded movie ever behind Veronica Mars), with just another $55,000 to go before locking in the inclusion of actual live bears at some point during filming. Notably, if they keep going and make it to a cool $5 million (and it looks like they will), Brian Cox will reprise his role as Captain O’Hagan.

Also notable is this promise from their Indiegogo page: “Our mustaches are thick, furry, and authoritative.”

Can’t ask for much more than that.

No release date yet, but Super Troopers 2 is now confirmed to begin filming later this year.
