Back in April, sisters Natalie, Allison, and Meegan Closner—who perform together as Joseph—debuted a driving heartland-rock single called “Fireworks” which arrived paired with a music video that integrated footage of the trio on tour. With their set of spring dates supporting their new album The Sun kicking off the following day, it wasn’t long after that their tour bus stopped in San Diego, where the Closners hopped off the bus before taking the stage at the city’s Music Box theater to perform an acoustic rendition of that track to a much smaller audience.

Crowding around a camera to harmonize over a single acoustic guitar, the sisters’ “Neighborhoods” session was filmed in a parking lot in the Southern California city, which is barely visible (beyond a few palm trees and sunny skies—appropriate, considering their album’s title) behind the trio leaning ever further into the frame. The grand reveal at the end of their performance is their audience of one: a lone seagull enjoying their gorgeous wind-swept harmonies.

Check out their video below. The Sun is out now via ATO Records.
