The B-52’s may be calling it quits after wrapping up their (final) farewell tour later this year, but co-founder Cindy Wilson is keeping the iconic new wave group’s synth-punky spirit alive with a solo career that initially kicked off with her 2017 debut, Change. With a more conventional vocal approach than the conversational voices signature to the band she made her name with, Wilson is returning later this summer for her second independent collection of songs with Realms slated for an August 25 release via Kill Rock Stars.

After sharing the electrically pulsating lead single “Midnight,” Wilson returns with the vibier cut “Delirious,” which paints with the same neon-tinted synths and nocturnal ambiance as its predecessor while packing a less immediate punch. “It reminds me of elements of the new wave music we started out doing,” she shares. “I think it has the desperate vocals of the time, with a psychedelic fusion. Terrance McKenna loved 'Private Idaho'! Maybe he would have liked 'Delirious'!"
