Pitchfork Music Festival returned to Union Park this past weekend for another year of performances showcasing the best of what’s current and new in hip-hop, rock, electronic music, and everything experimental in between. Barring a few weather-related incidents (the fest was briefly evacuated on Saturday due to some ominous rainclouds, while Sunday’s high temperatures caused JPEGMAFIA some frustration with his overheating Macbook), the three-day event once again proved just how stress-free and unchaotic music festival in major cities can be—outside of what’s going down onstage.
From headlining performances by The Smile and Big Thief, to attention-grabbing late-afternoon sets from Weyes Blood, and Vagabon, to invigorating early showcases by Grace Ives and Soul Glo, check out our photo recap of the event below shot by FLOOD photographer Kevin Allen.
