2015. Taymir FLOOD Session, “Jenny”

There’s something inherently appealing about the throwback sound of Dutch four-piece Taymir. While Phosphene—the band’s ’60s Brit-rock-influenced debut LP—has been out since 2013 in The Netherlands, the album will finally be coming to the US within the year.

Taymir hasn’t been shying away from releasing Phosphene tracks while they’re over here, though. After dropping the fuzzy garage-rock “AAAAAH” earlier this year, the guys brought another song from their latest full-length, along with their effortless British Invasion look, for an exclusive FLOOD Session. “Jenny” is an insanely catchy number that ironically tells the story of a girl named Marianne. It seems like Jennys are always getting pushed aside for other girls.

If you’re in The Netherlands, Phosphene is out now, if you aren’t, hold tight! It’s coming soon.
