For over a decade now, London-based artist George FitzGerald has been a reliable source for all things electronic music, from the deep house of his early recordings to his more recent turn toward progressive breaks and future garage. Last year’s Stellar Drifting LP saw him expanding his long list of collaborators to include Panda Bear, London Grammar, and SOAK., while his Not As I EP released earlier this summer expanded upon his prog-house agenda over the course of its relatively brief 15 atmospheric minutes.
Leading up to that EP’s physical release this Friday via Domino Recording Co., FitzGerald took a moment to compile a set list for FLOOD FM’s “Hacked” series, collecting a few favorite recordings from friends, collaborators, and influences spanning the electronic music gamut, from the downtempo sounds of Everything But the Girl to Aphex Twin’s manic IDM compositions. Tune in here to catch the full episode when it airs every day this week (August 7 to 11) at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. PT on FLOOD FM.
