While quite a different beast than than when Jane's Addiction's Perry Farrell co-founded a wild, traveling alt-rock event in 1991, over 30 years on Lollapalooza remains one of the world's preeminent music festivals. Now a stand-alone four-day fest in Chicago's Grant Park, many storylines emerged for this year's edition. On the opening night, Karol G made history as the first Latina headliner at Lolla, competing with Billie Eilish's set on the Bud Light stage. Kendrick Lamar kept it minimal the next night with his hit-laden set. On Saturday, Tomorrow X Together made headlines as the first K-pop band to headline the fest wowing even the unfamiliar, while rain on Sunday afternoon provided the crowds with a minefield of muddy terrain before Red Hot Chili Peppers' closing night performance.
FLOOD photographer Christian Sarkine was there to take it all in, snapping nearly 6,000 photos along the way. Here's a sampling of highlights from all four days.
