DJ Shadow took to social media today to announce the title of his forthcoming album: Action Adventure. According to the producer’s Instagram post, “The album will be out in late October or early November, but the first single will be out THIS MONTH. Expect quite a bit of activity from me over the coming weeks, including more live dates (FINALLY).”
He also dove into some details on the album’s sound, writing that it’s made up of 13 instrumental tracks and one song with vocals. “This, by definition, places it closer to Endtroducing and The Private Press in terms of personality and feel, but this is no throwback. The songs represent my continued evolution as a producer and songwriter, and I can honestly say that I couldn’t have made these tracks even a few years ago.”
