WATCH: Twin Shadow Drops Cinematic Video for “I’m Ready”

It’s no secret that George Lewis, Jr. wears his late ’80s and early ’90s influences on his sleeve within Eclipse, his latest release as Twin Shadow, but who knew that the stylized fashion and film details of that period would inspire his latest music video as well?

Today, Lewis dropped the video for the vivid, movie-trailer-ready track “I’m Ready, and, from the looks of it, it seems like he just decided to beat everyone to the punch and made his own black-and-white film trailer for his single to soundtrack. With an opening shot reminiscent of Bad Boys II, a group of villains to take down, and a lady love to save, the video for “I’m Ready” is a satisfying visual companion to the sweeping Eclipse track.

Lewis, along with the rest of his band and crew, are still recovering from a tragic road accident that occurred only a couple of weeks ago. A recent press release stated that their upcoming tour dates through May 29 have been “indefinitely postponed.”
