Earlier this summer, English post-punks Modern English revealed a set of 18 North American tour dates spanning the month of September in which the group promises to introduce audiences to tracks from a forthcoming record, the band’s first since 2016’s Take Me to the Trees. In the meantime, the band joined us for a special episode of FLOOD FM’s “Hacked,” which intersects with the station’s weekly “Flashback Sunday” series.
For one day only, on August 27, Modern English will be spinning their favorite tunes from the scene they came up in and beyond, with tracks by Gang of Four, Echo and the Bunnymen, and The Cure accounted for, as well as outliers by the likes of Stereolab and The Birthday Party. Airing throughout the day at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m., and 10 p.m., tune in to FLOOD FM here to catch the episode. You can also find the band’s full list of tour dates here.
