Still riding high on the success of last summer’s Freakout/Release LP, Hot Chip have been making their way across the festival circuit this year with memorable appearances at events such as Pasadena’s Just Like Heaven. Next month they’ll be back on the West Coast festival stage as a notable inclusion to Portola’s 2023 lineup, performing the weekend of September 30 at San Francisco’s Pier 80.
Before then, Alexis Taylor, Joe Goddard, Felix Martin, and Owen Clarke were the first among a series of Portola performers to assemble a tracklist for FLOOD FM’s “Hacked” series, taking over the station all week to spin everything from LFO to Killing Joke.
