Oneohtrix Point Never, the recording project of producer Daniel Lopatin, has shared the first taste of his forthcoming album Again, which will arrive on September 29 via Warp Records. The beautiful, sprawling “A Barely Lit Path,” which will close the album, features a stirring suite of strings, vocoder vocals, arpeggiated synths, snare drum rolls, a choir, and more. The orchestra that performs on the track was conducted and arranged by Robert Ames and performed by the NOMAD Ensemble.
The video, directed by Freeka Tet from a treatment by Lopatin and Tet, presents the tale of a pair of anthropomorphized crash test dummies. Check that out below, and pre-order Again here.
