Leading up to the release of her debut album Despechada, Venezuelan songwriter Ane Diaz made frequent comparisons between playing music and the process of growing agave, which she practices with her husband on their Rancho del Sol farm in Santa Barbara, California. “In both you need love, patience, dedication, and imagination,” she shared in a press statement ahead of the record’s early-June release via Rain Phoenix’s LaunchLeft label. “In both you don’t know exactly what the outcome will be but, you know you are continuing something ancient and magical.”

It makes sense, then, that for her “Neighborhoods” session she brought the album track “Fulgída Luna” out to the farm for a tranquil acoustic performance of the single. “I love agaves as much as I love music, I have to tell you,” she shares before jumping into the tune. “It’s true.” She also notes that “Fulgída Luna” is “a song about a man asking the moon to send a message to his ungrateful woman, and tell her that he loved her, and please forgive him if he ever did anything wrong.” Check it out below.
