Among the ever-growing slate of new talent signing on with iconic indie record label Kill Rock Stars is 18-year-old songwriter, actor, and online personality Elliott Fullam, whose recordings of hushed vocals and acoustic guitar often make it hard not to invoke another Elliott who made his mark on the PNW-based label. With his sophomore album End of Ways arriving last Friday, tracks like the lead single and title track come eerily close to replicating Elliott Smith’s intimate recordings while some of the project’s more autumnal tracks take the listener further into the past to the era of Pink Moon.
Celebrating the release of the new record, Fullam brought his acoustic guitar up to a scenic overlook outside of the historic Waterloo Village in New Jersey to perform “End of Ways” for our “Neighborhoods” series. Matching the delicate sound of the original recording, the serene backdrop adds to the solitary atmosphere of the track. Check out the video below.
