Fresh off their sold-out stadium tour of the UK and Europe—as well as their third time headlining Glastonbury—Arctic Monkeys are now in the midst of conquering the States for their first US tour in over five years. Along with tour mates Fontaines D.C., they hit the swamp-like conditions of Philadelphia this week to headline the outdoor TD Pavilion at The Mann. Frontman Alex Turner entered the stage with swagger as big as the collar on his shirt, with fans chanting his name as the band kicked into their hit-laden, 21-song set spanning their whole career.
Openers Fontaines D.C. further reminded us that they’re one of the most dynamic live bands in the world, with singer Grian Chatten ricochetting around the stage throughout their set.
