The lead-up to the new Tanlines record just keeps getting better and better. After releasing the jangly new guitar-driven track “Slipping Away” in March, the Brooklyn duo delighted the Internet in April with the reveal of their Netflix-parody band website.
Now, the band has announced that, at 11:00 a.m. PST tomorrow, they will stream their new album via teleconference. Listeners around the world are invited to dial in and hear the new album in full, as well as some “Forward-Looking Statements” which, as detailed in a comically legalese press release release, “are based on the Band members’ and their Guests’ expectations, beliefs, estimates and projections.”
The release continues, “These statements are not guarantees of future performance and involve certain risks and uncertainties, which are difficult to predict. Therefore, actual results may differ materially from what is forecast in forward-looking statements due to a variety of factors. The Band disclaims and does not undertake any obligation to update or revise any forward-looking statement made on this conference call.”
To find out what the hell all that means, hop on the call tomorrow by dialing (605) 562-3140 and inputting access code 874405. And if you’re not available, the band invites you to any of their “in-person meet-ups (listed below) that the Band will be holding across the U.S. throughout the Spring and Summer of 2015.”
