Indie-rap production heroes Roper Williams have shared a new single entitled “Blowing My Mind” from the duo’s forthcoming project Infinite Victory Loop. On the track, a rich soul sample provides a perfect backdrop for Jersey/New York underground icons YL, AKAI SOLO, and Fatboi Sharif. The single’s accompanying visual directed by Anthony DeRose finds the emcees chilling on street corners in New York, shooting the shit and spitting bars for the camera.
Regarding the track, Roper says, “‘Blow My Mind’ came about during sessions we had together in Jersey City where I just kept playing beats ‘til we found one what everyone was into. I’ve made so much music with all these guys separately that making the song together felt natural, even though it’s three completely different rappers with different styles and personalities.”
Infinite Victory Loop can be seen as the first official Roper album, though the dup says it’s a collaborative project with everyone featured on the tape. The album was mixed and mastered by Ben Hixon, who was responsible for mixing Roper’s album with Fatboi Sharif Gandhi Loves Children.
Check out the visual below, and stream the album tomorrow, September 27, on Roper Williams’ Bandcamp page. The album will hit other streaming services on September 28.
