It’s been a long and mysterious album rollout for Tame Impala‘s upcoming third full-length, but as of yesterday afternoon, we now have all the details surrounding Currents. On top of confirming the LP’s track listing and album cover, Kevin Parker’s Australian psych-rock project released its fourth single “Eventually” this week.
“Eventually”—Currents‘ latest released track after “Disciples,” “‘Cause I’m A Man,” and “Let It Happen”—is a five-minute explosion of driving drums, warbling organ/synth lines, addictive finger snaps, and confident falsetto vocals. When you dive deeper and actually listen to the lyrics, “Eventually” might be one of the most upbeat and groove-filled tracks about, what sounds like, a horrible breakup.
