We helped usher in the first-ever single from Stockholm-based rockers Girl Scout just over a year ago, which was followed soon after by their debut EP Real Life Human Garbage—an aggressive title greatly contrasting with the record’s contents of melodic indie-pop—and, most recently, a second EP, Granny Music. And if the fact that one of the two songs they performed for us in their recent “Neighborhoods” session isn’t among the 11 listed on their Spotify page, there’s likely plenty more material coming down the pipeline.

Along with the unreleased “Honey,” band members Emma Jansson and Viktor Spasov strummed through “Bruises” from their latest EP, released back in September. The two-song set was filmed in their hometown of Stockholm, Sweden, on a friend’s balcony overlooking greenery on an overcast day. Regarding the new track, Jansson notes: “It’s really simple, and it’s funny, ’cause we have two completely different versions of it. This version was basically how it was originally written, but the demo with the rest of the band is more of gritty pop tune.”

Check out their performance of both tracks below.
