In the first official release since their 2012 smash Synthetica, Metric, the biggest little band of Canada, have now shared “The Shade,” a stand-alone single in advance of their upcoming LP to be released later this year.
The new track was partially written and recorded at the Beastie Boys’ Oscilloscope Studios and is a polished glimpse of what’s in store, with phasering synth lines anchoring a big-time, dancefloor-oriented chorus sung by Emily Haines.
Starting next month, you can catch Metric in support of Imagine Dragons on a monster North American arena tour. Dates for that are below.
