British trio Black Midi are anything but predictable. Headlining LA’s historic Wiltern Theatre last week, the band delivered a mesmerizing three-hour performance as part of their Eras shows, mimicking Taylor Swift’s career-spanning tour (they even sold limited edition T-shirts parodying the Swift Eras tour poster design with their faces replacing hers). With a swirl of fans moshing in the pit throughout the evening, they played nearly their entire three-album discography, along with a cover of Hall & Oates’ “I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do)” amid the pop-rock duo’s messy legal drama.
