Update: In celebration of Valentine's Day and the one-year anniversary of the song, the band is offering a limited edition "Bubble of My Gum" tee here.

When sibling duo Durry deemed themselves “suburban legends” with the title of their recently released debut album they weren’t exaggerating. While their budding status as icons of their era of indie-rock music is still on the way to being solidified, the musicians maintain a residence on the outskirts of Minneapolis in a city called Burnsville, shading their compositions with a distinctive small-town appeal that’s largely missing in the more urbanized sounds of their peers.

With Suburban Legend arriving last fall, Austin and Taryn Durry brushed off the album single “Bubble of My Gum” in honor of the upcoming Valentine’s holiday for their “Neighborhoods” session in their very, very cold hometown. The siblings duet on the wholesome romantic lyrics as Austin strums along on acoustic guitar to an audience of empty patio furniture before presumably making a beeline for the warmth of their home.
