Cadence Weapon has announced his sixth studio album, Rollercoaster, arriving April 19 via MNRK Music. Along with the news, the Canadian emcee has shared the project’s first single, “Press Eject,” and announced a North American tour kicking off this spring.
On the Grandtheft-assisted track, Cadence raps over electronic bleeps and bloops, spitting, “My generation is desensitized / Got me fighting for what’s mine.” The track slowly builds, eventually introducing a beat that combines grime, electro, and other genre elements into a tidy rap package.
The new album includes performances and production from the likes of Bartees Strange, Jacques Greene, Loraine James, Machinedrum, Martyn Bootyspoon, and more. Pre-order Rollercoaster here, and check out the video for “Press Eject” below.
