Caroline Polachek has recruited Weyes Blood for a new single entitled “Butterfly Net,” which will be featured on the deluxe edition of her 2023 album, Desire, I Want to Turn Into You (the Everasking Edition, per its subtitle). This souped-up version is set to be released on February 14 via Perpetual Novice/The Orchard, coinciding with the one year anniversary of the album’s original Valentine’s Day release.
On the new track, woodwinds and synths mingle beneath Polachek’s voice before the two join forces for a power ballad-inspired chorus. Also included in the deluxe version of the album is “Dang,” which Polachek debuted on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert late last year.
