Chicago’s Brigitte Calls Me Baby appeared on the scene in a big way back in November, with the retro rockers releasing their debut EP This House Is Made of Corners via ATO Records as their 2022 single “Impressively Average” continued to catch fire. Blending elements of post-punk revivalism with jangle-pop pep and a clear reverence for Roy Orbison, the EP bristles with vintage charm as the quintet’s own personality shines through in the cracks across these five tracks.
Ahead of their sold-out hometown show at Schubas this weekend, and before hitting the road again to conquer the West Coast in April, the band is sharing some candid moments from their time in New York City earlier this month when they hit Brooklyn to perform at Baby’s All Right. From a pre-show stop at the Rough Trade record shop to scenes of them lighting up the Baby’s stage, check out all their highlights from the trip below.
