Bassist and songwriter Blu DeTiger has shared a new single entitled “Kiss.” It’s the second track from her forthcoming LP All I Ever Want Is Everything, which is set to arrive on March 29 via Capitol Records. The uptempo pop track features vocoded vocals and DeTiger singing of a former flame she absolutely shouldn’t be getting back with. “Babe, you really do remind me why,” she sings, “You and I were never meant to exist / But you’re looking cute here tonight / Remind me why I ever felt like I did.”
The accompanying visual features Blu and her band playing along to the track while couples smooch and embrace and do all the stuff DeTiger is not supposed to be doing with the cute yet toxic ex. Regarding the track, Blu said: “’Kiss’ is about seeing someone after a breakup, realizing why you were wrong for each other but wanting to feel that love again for one more night... It’s about living in that moment, maybe kissing that person will make me feel what I did back then. It was important to me to dial in the production for this song so that there only needed to be a few elements for it to feel full. I especially love the bass tone on this song, it’s my favorite from the whole album.”
