Electro-pop whiz Grimes took to Twitter on Sunday with details of her upcoming followup to 2012’s Visions. According to the tweets (below), which were crafted in response to questions from her fans, the album will be a surprise release in October, was recorded with “real instruments,” sounds nothing like her recent tracks “Go” and “REALiTi,” and sounds like a mix of, naturally, Nine Inch Nails and Dolly Parton.

While Grimes, along with Kanye, seems to be a bit shaky on the meaning of the word “surprise,” it sounds like the new music will definitely be a step forward for the Canadian singer and producer.
