Not to toot our own horn, but as always seems to be the case, the 2024 edition of FLOODfest at SXSW was one of the can’t miss events of the entire festival. With performances from *takes deep breath* Gareth Donkin, Yaya Bey, wilt, Fat Dog, Viji, J Noa, Coach Party, Estevie, Caleb Landry Jones, Hinds, Porij, and Chromeo, the event truly showcased some of the most exciting musical artists working today, spanning genres like R&B, post-punk, Latin urbano, funk, and beyond. From J Noa’s rapid-fire bars to Chromeo’s perfect blend of classic soul cuts and choice funk grooves for their DJ set, the party brought folks to Austin’s iconic Mohawk venue for an afternoon to remember.
With two stages, countless unforgettable acts, and a look at the next big faces in music (plus some notable veterans), FLOODfest was once again a perfect afternoon at Austin’s week-long music extravaganza. Special thanks to our sponsors SoundExchange, Rambler, Fender, and DW Drums for helping to make this event possible.
