St. Vincent has paid tribute to her favorite Red Hot Chili Pepper on new single “Flea.” Well, probably not...but maybe he’s Annie Clark’s fave? All Born Screaming will arrive on April 26.
The new song features Clark on vocals and all instruments except drums and bass—handled by Dave Grohl and Justin Meldal-Johnsen, respectively. The track is a swaggering, stripped-down ball of energy that eventually explodes with layers of vocals, drums that boom like thunder, and arena-ready guitar solos.
The track is accompanied by a lyric video featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the All Born Screaming sessions. Additionally, the new single coincides with the initial set of North American tour dates in support of the record, with Spoon, Yves Tumor, Eartheater, Dorian Electra, and Momma all on board for select dates.
